Donegal’s very own independent brewery Kinnegar Brewing is opening up its Letterkenny Taproom to all dog, cheese and Irish beer lovers for a series of events happening in April.
On Easter Monday, April 10th, Kinnegar Brewing will host its inaugural Dog Show. “Bring along your own dog and join us for a huge celebration of Kinnegar’s best friends”, says Libby Carton of Kinnegar Brewing.
The Kinnegar Dog Show will include:
Dog agility & training demonstrations with Tania Carron and her four-legged team from Academy Dog Training.
A retrieving skills exhibition with Ger Brogan and his ace Labrador Retrievers.
A native breeds showcase with Ireland’s nine native Irish dog breeds.
A photo booth for you and your best four-legged friend.
Dog classes with celebrated judge Martin Potts, who will lead the assembled panel of dog experts to judge all the classic fun dog classes. Young dogs, old dogs, rescue dogs, the best dog family, young dog handlers, and more.
A Best in Show award
Pre-registration for the Kinnegar Dog Show costs €5 per dog and guarantees entry in up to 3 classes. Registration on the day costs €10 per dog. See www.kinnegarbrewing/shop for registration and details.
On Friday, April 14th, Kinnegar Brewing will host a Cheese & Beer pairing event in partnership with Belfast’s Mike’s Fancy Cheese. Come along and enjoy Kinnegar Beers beers paired with the finest cheeses Ireland has to offer. Expect an intimate and conversational gathering with fellow food and beer lovers. Every Friday in April, Kinnegar Brewing will open its brewery doors to offer visitors a peek behind the scenes. The Advanced Tour takes you through the production area where your guide will explain the principles of making beer. You’ll have hands-on experience with raw ingredients and will hear and smell the unmistakable activities of the brewing process. Afterwards, you will enjoy a glass of your draught beer of choice in the Taproom. Booking is advised, please see www.kinnegarbrewing/shop for details.
Throughout the month of April, the Kinnegar Brewing taproom will also be open on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays from 1 pm to 7pm.
