Aerial Views of the Fanad Peninsula

Hi, hope you enjoy this as much as I did. A recent trip to Donegal which took me from Ramelton to Fanad Lighthouse via Rathmullan. The scenery a long this route is just out of this world. Sea cliffs, golden beaches and everything in between will just take your breath away.

From the beautiful Ramelton which to me is one of the nicest towns I have visited throughout my travels. I just love the old style buildings here and you would have to give credit to the locals for keeping this town in such great shape. Everywhere you look you will find flower boxes bursting with colour and the town itself is so clean.

Rathmullan was my next stop and once again you will not be disappointed. The beautiful Kinnegar beach and its golden sand, plenty to do here with regards to water sports, horse riding etc. You can also take the Spirit of Lough Swilly ferry which operates daily between Rathmullan and Buncrana.

Off up a long the coast you will have some of the best scenery you will find anywhere. Looking out over Lough Swilly you have some amazing views of Dunaff head and Lenan head.

Ballymastocker strand is also on this route a really beautiful strand. This was once voted 2nd most beautiful strand in the world and I can see why. The sand is so golden and the water crystal clear and from the view point you can see right over to Portsalon.

Finally my trip ended at Fanad Lighthouse and I really can’t say much here only that the video says it all, and special thanks to the staff and management for allowing me to film this beautiful lighthouse.
